मैंग्रोव वन (Mangrove Forest)

मैंग्रोव एक प्रकार की भारतीय वनस्पति है। इस वनस्पति के पौधों की जड़ें पानी में डूबी रहती हैं। मैंग्रोव वनस्पति भारत की महत्वपूर्ण वनस्पतियों में से एक है। इसका विकास भारत के तटवर्ती क्षेत्रों में हुआ है। तटवर्ती क्षेत्रों में मिट्टी तथा बालू एकत्रित हो जाती है। मैंग्रोव वनस्पति मुख्य रूप से उन क्षेत्रों में पायी जाती है, जहाँ पर लगातार ज्वार-भाटा आते रहते हैं।

Mangrove is a type of Indian plant. The roots of the plants of this vegetation are submerged in water. Mangrove vegetation is one of the important flora of India. It has developed in the coastal areas of India. Soil and sand collect in the coastal areas. Mangrove vegetation is mainly found in those areas where there is constant tide.

डेल्टा क्षेत्र (Delta Regions)

मैंग्रोव वन मुख्य रूप से निम्नलिखित नदियों के डेल्टा क्षेत्रों में पाये जाते हैं–
1. गंगा
2. गोदावरी
3. ब्रह्मपुत्र
4. महानदी
5. कावेरी
6. कृष्णा।

Mangrove forests are mainly found in the delta areas of the following rivers–
1. Ganga
2. Godavari
3. Brahmaputra
4. Mahanadi
5. Kaveri
6. Krishna.

वनस्पति (Vegetation)

गंगा-ब्रह्मपुत्र डेल्टा क्षेत्र में 'सुंदरी वृक्ष' पाये जाते हैं। सुंदरी वृक्ष एक प्रकार की मैंग्रोव वनस्पति है। इनसे मजबूत लकड़ी प्राप्त होती है। गंगा-ब्रह्मपुत्र डेल्टा क्षेत्र में निम्नलिखित पेड़ पाये जाते हैं–
1. नारियल
2. क्योड़ा
3. ताड़
4. वंऐंगार।

'Sundari trees' are found in the Ganga-Brahmaputra delta region. Sundari tree is a type of mangrove plant. They get strong wood. The following trees are found in the Ganga-Brahmaputra delta region–
1. Coconut
2. Kyoda
3. Palm
4. Wananger.

वन्य-प्राणी (Wild Animals)

गंगा-ब्रह्मपुत्र डेल्टा क्षेत्र में 'रॉयल बंगाल टाइगर' पाया जाता है। इन क्षेत्रों में साँप भी पाये जाते हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त निम्नलिखित जानवर पाये जाते हैं–
1. मगरमच्छ
2. घड़ियाल
3. कछुए।

'Royal Bengal Tiger' is found in the Ganga-Brahmaputra delta region. Snakes are also found in these areas. Apart from this the following animals are found–
1. Crocodile
2. Alligator
3. Turtle.
